Yellow Stone

Everyone worked diligently and won their prize --Superman shirts.  Because it was such a "super" trip whit woo Looki' good!
We went through West Yellow stone which was about 45 minutes from our camp ground.  We poured into one vehicle for the day.  FIRST misc hot spots and bathroom breaks.  Lexa fell asleep on the way but didn't want to miss a thing.  NEXT Old Faithful.  We checked out the museum while we waited for her to go off (she went off when we were parking and we missed it so we had an hour to wait)  We got to check out science and how geysers work and hot pots happen.   Old Faithful went off as scheduled --so crazy and it was beautiful!
Next we headed to Artist Point or Yellowstone Canyon (don't ever miss it --go!)  On the way we stopped because we saw a buffalo herd.  I was ecstatic --that was all Jacob wanted to see while in yellowstone and wa la!  Bison!  We got out and watched them they were across the river.
We pooled back in and were on our way when traffic slowed --more bison.  They were close to the road.  CAUTION do not try this at home.  I am a TRAINED air head.
I rolled down my window and offered a peanut to a bison who had his back towards me.  Chris said he didn't want my small peanuts. "Fine!" I responded, I grabbed an almond and held it out for him.  He turned around and stuck out this long, pointy, black alien tonuge "blea!" he said.  I did it back and forth for a few moment we sat sticking our tongues out at each other.  We were having our moment until he decided to get all defensive.  He stopped sticking out his tongue, squared his shoulders and stared at me and started to grunt.  Play time over!  I tossed out the almond and told him he could have it, rolled up my window and willed the cars in front of me to go and begged Chris to move!
GUESS WHAT --that silly moment was the kid's fav part of the trip --All six stated so.  Silly!
We arrived at Artist point as the sun started setting.  Words can not accurately convey the beauty.  However, I was nervous that the bear would be ready for dinner soon and I didn't want to stay all night.  We took several pics and then headed --oh and the bear was still just off the trail and kept digging at a plant for grubbs.  Thank goodness he didn't realize the main coarse was just up above him.
